That shaft of light
sculptural form
unintended
but there
here
unnoticed
a gleam
bright
unseen
begin again
tomorrow

Under the cold bridge steel
of the motorway and cars
homeless people strive to survive
poverty is what divides us
we must not turn our eyes away
from the pain – the pain.

The explosion
Lifts and shoots
In the light grey
Of the morning sky
A flock of gulls
Fragments
I watch the fluttering
Feathers fall.
via THE BeZINE, Vol. 4, Issue 2: Hunger, Poverty and The Working Class as Slave Labor
Really pleased to have two poems published in this very special edition of the Bezine amongst such great other contributors!

Forty years of denial, obstruction and frustration.
Our lives are brief, a mere fluttering in time.
So open the door wide and let the light in!
Excerpt from SOS from the Frontier.
Published in Rob Cullen’s poetry collection “Uncertain Times” 2016 Octavo.

Thundering and lightning crackled without warning in clear blue skies
the silenced old gods and wise men left only indentations, remembrances
Of psalms and words in the places they’d once stood in so many guises.
In the tall aspen trees above the school yard Jackdaws turned into blackness
